Rocky Linux 10 unable to install Cloudstack Management nothing provides (genisoimage or mkisofs or xorrisofs)

problem

I wanted to install the latest 4.23 RC2 on a fresh Rocky Linux 10 system. But the package installation fails with:

Error:
Problem: conflicting requests

• nothing provides (genisoimage or mkisofs or xorrisofs) needed by cloudstack-management-4.23.0.0-1.noarch from cloudstack-4.23RC2

I did the same with the 4.22. and 4.20.3 version with the same result.

xorrisofs should be available:
dnf list xorriso
Last metadata expiration check: 0:05:19 ago on Mon 03 Aug 2026 11:38:03 AM EDT.
Installed Packages
xorriso.x86_64 1.5.6-6.el10 @appstream

OS: Rocky Linux 10.2
ACS 4.23 and 4.22

The steps to reproduce the bug

1. Create a fresh Rocky Linux 10 with Base environment "Server"
2. Add Cloudstack Repo with baseurl: https://download.cloudstack.org/testing/4.23.0.0-RC2/el10/4.23/ or https://download.cloudstack.org/el/10/4.22/3.
3. dnf install xorriso
4. dnf install cloudstack-management

What to do about it?

no idea: though it would be fixed as described in #12178

can you try to install "xorrisofs" ?

I already installed xorriso.
Afterwards I have:
[root@xxxxx ~]# xorrisofs
xorriso 1.5.6 : RockRidge filesystem manipulator, libburnia project.

@la-wu can you install "genisoimage" before installing ACS.

sudo dnf install -y epel-release
sudo dnf install -y genisoimage
