I guess this is a doc issue but please move if not.
When running the sh script on pop os it should identify it correctly as the corresponding ubuntu version.
I had to manually download the .deb for 24.04 from github to fix it, since apt couldn't find it since your script added only some debian entries.
In general the instructions should use apt not apt-get.
Simply linking the .deb files at that point in the instructions would also make it a lot easier.
