Disable persistence in embedded mode

Is there a way to disable persistence in etcd's embedded mode, to make it run in-memory only?

etcd doesn't support such feature.

But I think you can put the data directory into a tmpfs.

$ sudo mount -t tmpfs tmpfs /tmp/etcd
$ etcd --data-dir=/tmp/etcd
