Time series to Graph

Hi,
while working with time series I have found a few options to convert time series to graphs. One example would be:

A time series classification method combining graph embedding and the bag-of-patterns algorithm by Ma, X., Yu, M., Huang, H. et al

I'm also taking a CS course, that the goal is to contribute to one open tool/software.

I'm considering implementing the proposed algorithm in the paper. My professor, instructed me to create an issue to ask if it my idea does match the community principles. What do you think?
