Syntax highlighting for .gitignore, .gitattributes, .gitconfig

Quite often I edit those files (.gitignore, .gitattributes, .gitconfig) and that would have been nice to see syntax highlighting of them :)

There are syntax highlighting description files you can find in the ‘/sytax/.yaml location.

In other words, there already is color highlighting for git file types.

Are they not working for you?

Hi, I actually do not know where to get those files, my ~/.config/micro/syntax/ directory is empty :(

I see a few issues:

1. micro doesn't highlight ~/.config/git/config because the filename pattern requires the directory to be named .git/ (with a dot)
2. There is no syntax highlighting for gitignore or gitattributes files

Oh sorry about that, I misread the definitions with .git in the file name.

Does the syntax definition file runtime/syntax/git-config.yaml only work if the directory is named .git then I’m guessing?
