This was already shipped. It's in the prerelease version.

Weird, I explicitly switched to it, reloaded the extensions, and tried before filing this issue.

Currently the prerelease version doesn’t seem to work at all for me though: tests immediately get marked as skipped when I try to debug them.

I don't seem to have that problem. Can you try with a new project and just a single test?
