Winget does not ugprade Logitech.GHUB even though upgrade seemingly works

Brief description of your issue

I have package with id Logitech.GHUB installed.

winget list --id Logitech.GHUB says:

Name           Id            Version       Available     Source
---------------------------------------------------------------
Logitech G HUB Logitech.GHUB 2025.9.807502 2026.1.828335 winget

Yet I cannot ugrade it to the latest version. winget upgrade --all seemingly performs the upgrade, but outdated version is still in use.

Steps to reproduce

Execute winget upgrade --all twice:

Expected behavior

First upgrade should have upgraded, second upgrade should have been a noop. The latest version should actually be installed.

I tried uninstalling the package, while it opened an interactive uninstall program, it did issue an error on the console:

 ~  winget remove --id Logitech.GHUB
Found Logitech G HUB [Logitech.GHUB]
Starting package uninstall...
Uninstall failed with exit code: 1287

The interactive uninstaller worked fine though. Afterwards, I could reinstall the package and now it uses the right version:

 ~  winget install --id Logitech.GHUB

On another machine, this affected these packages as well:

• Logitech.GHUB
• ItchIo.Itch
• ParadoxInteractive.ParadoxLauncher

Only after first uninstalling and the reinstalling could I actually update the packages.

Otherweise I was stuck with these versions:

The update would report success, yet the packages remained outdated. (It does not stem from the Logitech.GHUB alone. I tried after each uninstall and reinstall if update -all would finally work, it didn't. Each package required the manual workaround.

I'm wondering if the application does the same thing Discord used to do. Upgrades didn't update the version in the registry. If you "run" the installer with an older version installed do the registry entries get updated? You should be able to see the installed version in Windows Settings - Apps.
