@paciorek Can you point me to what PR (or other change) the bullet point "have derived quantities in manual use compiled objects" is referring to?

And, I'm still working on addressing the thin issue (branch mcmc_thin2), in PR #1609 - that work is not ready yet.

@danielturek sorry to be unclear. Simply that the derived quantities example code in the manual runs uncompiled nf code, and I was thinking we should compile and run it so as not to give users the impression that running uncompiled was standard/recommended. I hadn't made a PR and I can easily just make the changes myself if you agree.

@paciorek I understand now - yes, please go ahead and make any such changes in the manual.

Maybe the wording for the bullet point, something like "User Manual derived quantities use compiled objects." ? Or anything else that makes sense to you.

@danielturek @paciorek : do you know when the new version (1.4.1?) of Nimble including the resolution of #1608 (& #1609) will be posted on CRAN?

This is because I have to post a new version of package runMCMCbtadjust that solves CRAN issues that made this package being archived and that is compatible with the latest version of Nimble - and clearly this package cannot be made compatible with version 1.4.0 of Nimble due to #1608. @gosselinf Sorry for the delay on this. I was working on 1.4.1 this past weekend, and I think we should be able to send it to CRAN this week (hopefully on the earlier side of the week).
