What version of PostgreSQL can I use?

I was testing the Helm chart deployment, but I noticed it uses a plugin for PostgreSQL version 12. That got me wondering — is it possible to use more recent versions of Postgres, like version 17 for example

Same question. I see the postgres driver plugin says postgres12, but my assumption is that we can use higher versions.
