As discussed with Joe and welkin we decided to drop this. Because the logic required to detect this defect is quite intensive, as it would need to parse nginx logs for every APIC. The issue itself has no direct relation to the actual upgrade flow, so including this check in the pre-upgrade script does not seem justified. Additionally, the documented workaround states that an APIC reboot temporarily restores TACACS login, and since APICs are rebooted as part of the upgrade process, users would not experience the symptom immediately after upgrade. For these reasons, it makes sense to close this item rather than incorporate it into the pre-upgrade validation. |
