Changes:

  • a bit of direct dependencies bumps
  • in addition refactor of overlapping library use or move to golang's stdlib

I guess we need to bump all repos and braches to Golang 1.25 then (as all use via SO hack@latest IIRC)

Indeed, great catch I haven't thought about older release branches. Let's hold on the upgrading libs then. I don't think there's any middle ground every bump of k8s or openshift libs has some sort of go bump associated with it.
