Towards the end, The user will have to relaunch the display application again at this point. I think you may try put below command and see if it works (we had given steps to stop it at the start of section)
$systemctl start emptty.service

Vale caught a use of Deep Sleep
Add DSS plus Deep Sleep low power mode, a new suspend mode where the Display Subsystem remains powered to show a static image while the rest of the system enters Deep Sleep. Signed-off-by: Akashdeep Kaur <a-kaur@ti.com>
